The Community Involvement of the Institute of Formation and Religious Studies covers programs initiated for the students, faculty and staff to aid in growth of their apostolic life. Student participate in community involvement as a requirement for those enrolled in NSTP but is open for participation to all as well as the faculty and staff Community involvement is two-pronged just as it is service to the community, it also facilitates learning and formation for those who render service as in the following:
The exposure-immersion is held annually to situate the students, Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike, in the stark realities faced by the poor and the marginalized sectors of the Philippines and thus provide them with context for their theological studies. It includes a pre-exposure orientation, co-facilitated by replrecentative of participating organizations, and a post-exposure processing to guide students in integrating their experiences with their studies and life.

BRGY. KAMIAS, PORAC, PAMPANGA
In response to the Church's call for a preferential option for the poor and in its desire to expand its contribution to society as a community. IFRS had decided to adopt a community to be its beneficiary and partner in working for a just non-discriminatory and participative church amd society, witnessing and proclaiming the Biblical imperatives of love, truth, justice and peace.
Brgy. Kamias, Porac, Pampanga is a community of indigenous people -- Ayta Ma-indi, resettled in the area after the Pinatubo eruption in 1991. The Institute of Formation and Religious Studies through the Pinatubo eruption.
In partnership with the community of our Lady of the Sacred Heart ( DOLSH), IFRS student and staff participate in the outreach program in Matangtubig Community in Brgy. Horseshoe, Cubao, Quezon City. They plan and undertake projects and activities which adress concers by the resident of Matangtubig.
