IFRS Faculty are invited to the Mamre Encounter: Faculty–Formators–Students Encounter, a gathering envisioned as a space for dialogue, reflection, and conversations that matter.
The choice of the name Mamre Encounter is inspired by Genesis 18:1–15, where Abraham and Sarah welcomed their guests under the oaks of Mamre. In that moment of hospitality, attentiveness, and openness, an ordinary encounter became a space of dialogue, listening, and divine promise. Mamre thus stands as a powerful symbol of encounter—where people meet, listen deeply, and are transformed through presence and conversation.
In the same spirit, the Mamre Encounter seeks to foster meaningful engagement among faculty, formators, and students by creating a respectful and open environment for shared reflection, mutual listening, and learning. It is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, deepen understanding, and nurture a culture of formation within our academic community.
The program will include the following activities:
Faculty–Formator Forum – a space for dialogue on shared concerns, formation, and collaboration
Faculty–Formator–Students Forum – an inclusive conversation encouraging listening, exchange, and learning across roles
Bonding Time – an informal space to build connection, trust, and community
May this encounter become a space where dialogue leads to insight, relationships are strengthened, and formation is deepened.
